The most underrated band in America, played on the Today Show Friday. KOL performed “Notion,” “Use Somebody,” and “Sex On Fire.”
Meredith Vieira interviewed the boys and said they were the next “U2″ (insulting to both bands) and then claimed that before Kings of Leon started none of them were musicians. Not quite true Meredith. Next time Land of Punt suggest you use this website called “wikipedia.”
This is why LOP doesn’t like about the Today Show, everything has to be the next “this” or the next “that.” They overhype and over-dramatized everything.
The band, while not dynamic, sounded great. However, the low-light of their performance was the oodles of crowd shots and especially Ann Curry dancing. You almost saw more of the crowd then you did of the band.
Watching Curry sway to the music was worse than watching your parents dance.
